Annual Grade 3 Candy Cane Sale Fundraiser

The Grade 3 Classes are having their seventh Annual Candy Cane Fundraiser on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
In the past, this fundraising event has been very successful, allowing our students to assist other children in need. We have purchased a well for a school in Africa and outfitted a classroom with school supplies, we helped grant a wish through the Make A Wish Foundation, we sponsored St. Jude Nursery and Primary School in Uganda by supplying funds for textbooks, we raised money for the Ronald McDonald House BC to allow sick children and their families to stay together while receiving treatment, we supported the British Columbia Guide Dog Services by sponsoring two autism support dogs, and last year, we donated our proceeds to the Breakfast Club of Canada to ensure children have access to a healthy morning meal before school.
This year, the Grade 3 students are once again supporting the Make A Wish Foundation. This charity is the largest wish-granting organization in the world, ensuring children with critical illnesses have a chance at seeing their dreams fulfilled. Our students take great pride in setting goals and striving to achieve them, and in doing so, they are learning valuable lessons about social issues that affect our world. The students will be selling candy canes for 50 cents and raffle tickets for 25 cents (for candy prizes such as jumbo candy canes, LifeSaver books, etc.).
We will be raffling off 2 reserved parking spots for this year’s Christmas concerts – one spot for the primary concert and one spot for the intermediate concert. Each parking spot also comes with 2 reserved seats to each performance. Please note: this reserved seating does not mean two additional tickets are being given away. It means that 2 seats will be reserved for the winner of the raffle, but the individual winners must already have tickets. These separate raffle tickets will be $2.00 each and are available for purchase at the office, or you can print off your own raffle entry below and send it and payment into the office with your child.
Please support this very worthwhile cause and send your child with some money to buy candy canes and tickets on December 11th.
