On Friday, January 18th, we will be having our annual “Read the Day Away and Pajama Day” event. We will be focusing on literacy all day long. Students and Staff are encouraged to wear their favourite comfy pajamas to school.

The activities and tasks may look different in each classroom. For example, the day’s reading activities may be broken up with some Math word problems, students may become authors themselves, or comparisons may be made between printed texts and videos. For most classes, the day will involve a lot of reading.  In addition, some classes will have at least one visitor in to read a story, to talk about their favourite books, or to talk about the importance of literacy. Guests will include current and retired school district employees, School Trustees, and other community members.
