We will hold a Halloween Parade starting at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 31st.

For students: We will be parading around the halls, with the primary students walking first, while the Intermediates are also lined around the hallway to view our primary student’s costumes – then the intermediate students will walk around showcasing their costumes to the primary students. Costume participation is voluntary.

For parents: Both groups will parade through the gym where parents can view the student parade from 2:00 – 2:20 pm (Primaries first/ Intermediates second). Please be mindful with taking photos – feel free to photograph/video your child and be mindful of posting images of other children without permission from that child’s family.

With this in mind, as students prepare their costumes this weekend, please keep in mind the appropriateness that needs to be considered in an elementary school setting as students are effectively “showcasing/displaying” their character/costume for all:

• general rule – not to scare our youngest students (no masks, weaponry, excess blood)
• wardrobe appropriateness (no semi-dressed creatures or characters) – we should stick to the daily, general expectations for what to wear to school/work.

While we are looking forward to this fun event, staff reserve the right to maintain a safe environment and appropriate dress expectations while we are in session at school.
